It wouldn’t have to be post Episode III.
It could easily be a “Clone Wars” Era live action. Have you been following The Clone Wars Animated show? There was an episode last week that had one of the best lightsaber battles i have ever seen on screen.
I would definitely go to the cinema to see a clone wars era movie. And the beauty of it is that we could have Anakin and Ahsoka, Rex, Cody, etc all fighting together. It doesn’t need to solve any larger SW problems. Just be good story with plenty of action. The way i look at it is this:
“Star Wars. I like it. Give me more”
I suppose, but I like the thought of one of the last surviving Jedi trying to still make a difference in the galaxy without being found by Vader and Palpatine all while keeping a watchful eye on Luke.
It has been established that Obi Wan stayed put on tattooine to watch over Luke in the intervening twenty years.
I’d like to imagine him out doing cool things too. Hard to tell whether Disney will go that route.
I’d love to see a stand-alone Obi Wan movie. Doesn’t have to be tied to anything wider, make any links with the saga or anything. Just a decent, Obi Wan story.
Agreed. Whatever it takes for more Obi Wan by McGregor I’m down for.
That would be great. Fingers crossed that Disney can see a wider audience for standalone SW stories.
