Yes, I know Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first big blockbuster of 2016, but for me I’m all about May when Captain America and Iron Man square off in Civil War.
Hot Toys is already whetting collectors’ appetite as well with the first official reveal of the line — War Machine.
Pre-order: Marvel War Machine Mark III Marvel Sixth Scale Figure
The always tricky thing with the main characters in the Avengers line is there’s always a slightly better version coming out around the corner. That’s especially true for Iron Man and his pal. The differences are slight between this one and the Avengers: Age of Ultron version Marvel War Machine Mark II Marvel Sixth Scale Figure so it’s a matter of preference.
Following the events of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America and the Avengers continue to protect the world, but the team becomes fractured into two opposing factions, one led by Captain America and another by Iron Man, after extensive collateral damage prompts the government oversight and accountability for the Avengers.
Today, Hot Toys is very excited to firstly introduce a member of Iron Man’s team in Captain America: Civil War – the new 1/6th scale War Machine Collectible Figure to our MMS Diecast series which the collectible figure is made of diecast material, and realistically designed to look even more like the armor as it appears in the film.
The highly-accurate War Machine Collectible Figure is crafted with great details and based on the image of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine in Captain America: Civil War. It features a highly detailed helmeted head sculpt with LED light-up function, metallic black and silver colored armor with decals and weathering effects, LED light-up chest and repuslors, War Machine’s new extendable baton with LED light-up function, articulated back-mounted machine gun, and a specially designed Captain America: Civil War themed figure stand!
Now is the time to get started on your Captain America: Civil War collection with this awesome new War Machine.

Differences are slight??? You’re obviously not an IM suit fan my friend! That thing shares no parts from the previous WM. Well, maybe the hands… ^_^
It does look cool, but i am all Iron-Man’ed out.
You’ve got me. I think like you I’m so Iron Man armored-out I can’t appreciate all the differences.
Well looking at my ‘War Machine’ from AOU I seen quite some differences between the two figures Jeff. This Mark 3 version is pretty clean too and I like the light up baton that comes with him. Not sure yet if I will get this though, but I will be getting the diecast version of the first War Machine from “Iron Man 2”, I had the original one and sold it.
I see what you and Barry mean now. Did you get the Avengers Age of Ultron one?
Yeah it’s the AOU version.
I skipped the AOU WM as i already had the IM3 WM MKII and also Iron Patriot. The AOU one was just a repaint of that same armour, just like Hot Rod.
That’s true but I like the paint scheme better from the AOU version, it’s color way looks a little more movie accurate to me. But you can’t go wrong with either.
It was accurate to AOU, but not IM3. And i only bought mine after IM3, AOU was still on the horizon at that time.
Your right, both version are great. I passed on the IM3 version because I wanted the Rhodey head as well.
I just made my own Rhodey head for the IM3 WM
