Thor is another of my favorite Avengers. I love that he’s essentially the team’s big gun who bats cleanup when their most powerful foes have knocked everyone else out and Captain America has held him back in reserve.

One of the great atrocities for Marvel action figure collectors was the Scarlet Witch figure in Series 11 of the acclaimed Toy Biz Marvel Legends line. Wanda Maximoff’s figure was proof the line couldn’t always hit a home run.
Collectors have been begging Hasbro for years to release an improved version and for a long time those pleas went unanswered. With the first wave of its 2015 Marvel Legend series, Hasbro finally delivered with a figure that proved good things eventually do come to those who wait. Thanks to the benefit of starring in the Avengers movies, Hawkeye’s star has never been brighter and he’s been a regular fixture on the action figure front.
Considering his increased status, Hawkeye was one of the A-listers in the first 2015 wave of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line. I’ve had the figure for a while, but it was finally time to see if Hasbro hit the target with this version of the Avenging Archer. I started my Hot Toys obsession midway through its “Marvels The Avengers” line at which point Captain America and Hawkeye were prohibitively expensive.
Beyond getting another dose of Avengers goodness, I was highly anticipating “Avengers: Age of Ultron” as it would give me another crack at completing the team with Hot Toys AOU series. It’s been a long nearly three-year wait, but Hawkeye is finally in my Hot Toys Avengers collection. Does he hit the bullseye or miss the target completely? Let’s find out.
