Hot Toys Obi Wan Kenobi Star Wars figure review

One of the best parts of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is it’s motivated me to finally getting around to reviewing some of the amazing Hot Toys Star Wars figures that I’ve recently added to the collection.

Obi-Wan Kenobi may be the one character who appeared in the first six films that I found myself liking much more in the prequels. I really enjoyed Ewan McGregor’s maturing take on the character from The Phantom Menace to Revenge of the Sith.

Today, of course, I’m looking at the original incarnation of old Ben Kenobi played by the incomparable Alec Guinness. Who do I need to stalk/harass unendingly/beg/plead/bribe to make this happen?

Since we’re getting spin-off “Star Wars” films, a post-“Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith”  Obi-Wan standalone starring McGregor is officially at the top of my list and maybe I’m not the only one…

So what exactly could ABC do with a “Star Wars” TV series?

Star Wars 1313 concept artThanks to the Disney purchase of Lucasfilm all kinds of new opportunities are being explored including a possible “Star Wars” TV show on ABC.

“We’d love to do something with Lucasfilm, we’re not sure what yet,” ABC entertainment president Paul Lee told EW. “We haven’t even sat down with them. We’re going to look at [the live-action series], we’re going to look at all of them, and see what’s right. We weren’t able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed.
