With “Ant-Man” scheduled to kick off Marvel’s Phase 3 in summer 2015, it’s time we started getting some important details beyond a quick preview video. Like say … the star of the film.
According to Variety, Marvel Studios have narrowed their choice to play Hank Pym/Ant-Man to Paul Rudd (“This is 40“) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Don Jon“). In case you’re curious, I’ve stifled my nerd rage enough to not be worked up over the fact that neither are blond.
Both are solid actors and if they are truly are Final 2, the audience can’t lose. Gordon-Levitt tried to settle the rumors somewhat in an interview with Huffington Post France
“There is always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only discussions,” he said. “I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my career. I’m usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors.”
